Gulls are a punk 3 piece from Brighton who formed in 2016 and who's line up is Rhi Kavok (poetry), Trixie Dean (aka Boe H) (guitar/vocals)
and Matt Hickin (drums). I've seen their sound described as being akin to Sleaford Mods in a high speed collision with Bikini Kill on bumper cars whilst Rhi's poetry tackles themes of local and global injustice. Wittily they tag themselves as playing Brighton rock.

A couple of months ago they released an excellent single (which I managed to miss as I obviously don't spend enough time online looking for new music!) but which attracted the attention of Tom Robinson who played them on his Radio 6 show. If like me you've been unaware of them till now I think you'll like it. Inspired by the closure and sale to property developers of Kensal Rise Library it's a protest song about gentrification and it's called SHOP...
